363: LADIES OF THE WORLD

And so we near the end of this ‘thingy’ of ours. Except, dear reader, don’t think you can get rid of us that easily. More on that in the next couple of days. Many to thank for encouragement, criticism, patience, tech support, a laptop, comments, taking dictation, and of course the suggestion of Ray Davies acoustic versions. Much appreciated.

This one’s for the ladies. The last two selections are from ‘Electric Ladyland’ and ‘Electric Landlady’, respectively.

126: The Letter I (Artists)

So this is where I truly realize that I’m not quite the vinyl collector that I think I am (or wish I were). Each song here is from a different album, but I had to repeat artists and there was only one album in my collection that I didn’t use (“First Offence” by The Inmates, which I must have picked up for free in a box of tossed records). All songs I enjoy, though, and I’m lucky the Isleys like the long two-part jams. I think I’m good until Q, but that’s another four months away, and if I don’t make it to the record store a few times by then…well, I won’t be cooled out, that’s all.
